In came a beautiful dame.
Oh, How fair she is!
“What’s your name ?”
I asked, when my heart felt the bliss.
Dressed in velvet
She looked so chic
Lot to say, yet
I’ve kept myself so laconic.
“I’m a man so simple
You can count on me”
Silence she showed in ample
Keeping me at sea.
“Tell me who you are”
I pleaded so earnestly.
She doesn’t care, she’s gone far
Treating me unkindly.
I turned to leave with a gloomy face
“Is admiring beauty a sin?”
I felt, and as my heart began to lose pace
I realized it was only a mannequin.
MY first attempt at a serious, medium length poem :D
